An acoustician’s primary tool is their ear. With a trained ear, one can get a good sense of the sound issues present in a space, what sounds are occurring, and which transmission paths exist. However, this is not sufficient if one is to truly address the sound problems. In office environments, we conduct measurements of background levels, sound insulation, reverberation, and noise from installations. If necessary, we also investigate transmission paths and sound weak spots to assist with future projects and renovations. <\/p>

After completing the measurements, we create a report to let the customer easily review our practical and feasible proposals for action without negatively impacting the space’s aesthetics. We work in control rooms and machine buildings where we conduct investigations of how the machines in the space transmit sound to the personnel, whether they are in the same room or adjacent rooms. We assess whether there are issues with structure-borne sound, flanking transmissions, or acoustically poor wall sections. The measurements can also be complemented with services for a complete feasibility study. <\/p>

Tonal sources can be particularly stressful for staff and are sometimes very low-frequency, making them difficult to locate. We use sound and accelerometer measurements that assess these low frequencies and we can determine whether the levels are acceptable or not <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Vibrations in structures can cause discomfort when touched, structure-borne sound, or sound radiation. We examine your situation to assess what needs to be isolated and how to do it. We can also analyze the measurements to help you understand the resonant behavior. <\/p>

We conduct sound immissions measurements at specified points and sound emissions measurements of noisy sources. In these measurements, we follow the appropriate standards determined by us or the customer to obtain the necessary measurement values. We can also provide recommendations for suitable measures to reduce the levels. An example is when the noise source consists of, for instance, fans, and we perform airflow measurements at the time of testing to ensure that functionality is not affected. Furthermore, we can carry out the necessary steps to create a sound map\/noise calculation, showing how the sound from the facility spreads, taking into account current directives and other buildings.” <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    We take you from sound measurement or noise mapping to a proposal for action tailored to your needs, preferences, and conditions. Throughout the project, we maintain continuous dialogue to ensure that the measurements are sufficient or whether they need to be supplemented (potentially in areas beyond acoustics). <\/p>

    When sufficient measurements are made, appropriate measures are designed. Here, we often collaborate with previous acoustic consultants to access collected data not included in existing reports. <\/p>
