The wooden door evolves to TLE-48 dB
The performance of the wooden door is further increased to TLE 48 dB.
NonSonus fresh air vent is created
Our revolutionary fresh air valve was developed in response to the Swedish Transport Administration's need for effective noise reduction for residential areas along railways and highways. It is a groundbreaking noise-dampening fresh air valve that sets a new standard in sound reduction, offering eight times better noise attenuation than the nearest competitor!
Glazed sections with a wooden frame.
We introduce glazed sections with wooden frames, which quickly becomes a popular product for, among other things, offices and schools where visibility into rooms is needed.
Enclosures for transformers.
We add the development of transformer enclosures to our product portfolio.

HIAK AB is founded
About 40 years after the first mobile silencer, Hedemora verkstäder is divided into several companies. The noise division is transformed and the independent company Hedemora Industriakustik AB, now HIAK AB, is formed.
The Hedemora Door makes its entrance
The Hedemora Door was founded in 1975 in Hedemora, a town with a rich history and tradition in craftsmanship and industry. We have always strived to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to create doors and gates that, not only meet today's requirements but also are durable and aesthetically pleasing. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has made us a leading player in the market.
Our first door
The first door, the steel door, was developed and laid the foundation for what would later become the Hedemora Door.
Silencers and enclosures for gas turbines
The beginning of the development of our silencers and gas turbine enclosures. The work continues to this day, and we are constantly striving to find more efficient solutions.
The foundations of what will become HIAK are laid
HIAK's journey begins as early as 1947. A mobile silencer for functional testing of Sweden's first military jet aircraft - "Flygande Tunnan" is developed and manufactured at Hedemora Verkstäder, which was then part of Nordstjernan AB. The product was a success and the foundation for the "noise division" within Hedemora Verkstäder was laid.
