Transformers and reactors emit a distinct tonal, low-frequency noise that spreads long distances, and into buildings. The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s regulations on external noise specify particularly stringent requirements for sounds containing pure tones where the need for low noise levels becomes especially important. HIAK has supplied enclosures, screens, and partial enclosures for transformers and reactors worldwide for many years.

It is challenging to dampen these tonal low-frequency sounds. Therefore, we have developed methods, models, and products to calculate, and dimension, solutions that meet the toughest requirements.

In addition to the sound-dampening or sound-insulating function, products for electrical installations need to have a long lifespan and be easy to service and maintain.
