HIAK offers many different products for sound-dampening measures. Our knowledge is based on approximately 80 years of experience and many various projects within the energy sector, process industry, manufacturing industry, construction industry, defense industry, and in the power & heat sector. Our products are customized and based on acoustic requirements and other specified needs regarding strength, air flow, pressure drop, temperature fluctuation, accessibility, work environment, appearance, etc., as well as requirements from local norms and standards etc. Our products are designed by us, manufactured by our skilled suppliers, and can be found all over the world at our customers or at our customers’ customers.

Engine testing facilities

We design and deliver soundproof testing room solutions for engines and drivetrains ranging from passenger and commercial vehicle engines to complete engine test facilities for military aircraft.

Sound insulation of transformers, reactors, and electrical installations.

We address noise issues from electrical installations and can deliver everything from investigations to turnkey solutions using well-developed methods, models, and products.

Silencers and acoustic systems for gas turbines

We supply exhaust silencers, intake silencers, and acoustic enclosures for the gas turbines. We can also provide additional non-acoustic subsystems, such as filters, air intakes, and plenums.

The Hedemora Door

Our sound doors provide the necessary silence for events such as theater performances, concerts, and meetings – a well-insulated wall alone is not enough to create a soundproof environment.

Every project is unique, and our work process is constantly adapted and adjusted accordingly. However, while each project requires a unique plan, some typical steps are always involved.

1. Prestudy​

We analyze your needs and identify possible solutions based on existing data. If necessary, we also conduct our own measurements to ensure a correct foundation.

2. Concept study

We develop a detailed concept proposal that includes design suggestions, acoustic calculations, and a realistic budget for implementation.

3. Problem-solving & analysis.

Together with you, we review your noise challenges and develop the most effective solutions to meet your requirements.

4. Design and construction​​

We create manufacturing documents and installation instructions focusing on optimizing acoustic performance and cost-effectiveness.

5. Production and delivery​

The production is conducted at our carefully selected suppliers in Sweden and Europe, ensuring high quality and short delivery times.

6. Installation

Our experienced installers ensure a correct installation, so you receive the sound performance you expect.

7. Supervision

If you prefer to carry out the installation yourselves, we provide technical support and quality control through our specialists.

8. Product development with a focus on acoustics.

We assist you in developing and optimizing the soundproofing of products for maximum performance and functionality

9. Acoustics Lab & Testing

We conduct thorough tests in our own acoustics lab to ensure that the products meet all requirements and specifications.

10. Sound, flow, and vibration measurements

We map and analyze sound, flow, and vibration issues to identify the best possible measures and solutions for improvement.
We can also perform flow measurements at outlets, inlets, and duct systems – in cold as well as hot flows. We can conduct measurements according to standards or make assumptions based on knowledge in fluid mechanics and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).
