Nearby property owners complained about disturbing noise at evenings and nights from the paper mill Nordic Paper in Bäckhammar. Measurement of the sound level indicated a necessary reduction of 3-8 dB(A), and the subsequent noise mapping showed what from the existing equipment needed to be dampened. The final result was a reduction of 3-12 dB(A).

HIAK was brought in to analyze the requested sound reduction. We concluded that after changes, we could assist the paper mill in finding a cost-effective solution for noise abatement that would achieve the desired sound levels.

Our commitment also included the installation of our own components, as well as, the dismantling of the older system, which was achieved in collaboration with local companies close to the customer and with our own project management.
